LiquidPlanner has several disadvantages besides high price. First, there are no employee collaboration tools - you can leave comments for tasks, but there is no group chat, instant messaging or videoconferencing options. Second, while LiquidPlanner has time tracking, it comes with no tools for client management, quotes or invoicing. Finally, there is no self-hosted edition of LiquidPlanner, meaning you have no access to the source code and can't customize or integrate it with other tools.
